Novels by Caribbean Authors

Rosaliene Bacchus, a Guyanese blogger and writer has  started a new website called Novels by Caribbean Authors. It will showcase books she has read and enjoyed. It’s a welcome addition to the small but growing list of online mediums devoted to giving books by Caribbean authors much-needed exposure.

In her other website Three Worlds One Vision, Rosaliene writes about life and politics in Guyana and gives her perspective on life in America where she now lives. She also provides rare insights into the opportunities and challenges of living and working in Brazil, from the viewpoint of an English-speaking immigrant. Her articles and commentaries are quite illuminating and make for excellent reading.

In 1987 Rosaliene migrated to Brazil with her family where she lived for 14 years and worked as an import-export manager. She now lives in Los Angeles, California. She uses her experience as an international trade professional and her website Your US-Brazil Trade Assist  to promote trade with the country that has become the economic powerhouse of Latin America and a global player. Rosaliene also writes fictional short stories. She’s working on completing her first novel set in Guyana during the period 1950 to 1980. You can learn about her journey as a writer at
